"Delicious dainty sandwiches and sweets plus scones with strawberry jam and cream while overlooking the Bow Valley and Rockies mountains. our server was very knowledgeable about the 14 teas we could choose to sample, describing contents, origin and gave us the opportunity of smelling each one before we selected which ones to try.
Very quiet and restful ambience, it was great to actually talk to each other."

"I was hoping for the price of afternoon tea that we would have freash sandwiicthes. Tops were dry , the tea selection was very nice with knowledgeable staff. The best part was the tea."

"I took my mother to the Afternoon Tea at the Banff Springs, and it was FANTASTIC. The food was wonderful (delicious baked goods and small sandwiches- perfect with a pot of tea!) and the choice of teas was excellent. Beautiful view, also! Would definitely go again!"

"A lovely setting with great views of the mountains. A good selection of teas with explanation from the server. Loved the scones with cream and jam. Would have preferred either a few more sandwiches and a few less desserts or a few desserts that were lighter and less sweet - it was a bit of a sugar overload! Also, the advertised price on the reservations page was $30 so we were dismayed at the bill which listed $42 per person. The water was also extra - it was a nice experience but not worth nearly a hundred dollars for two people."

"My wife and I were the only ones in the dining room for Afternoon Tea at the Rundle Lounge. Yet our waitress hardly took care of us once the tea was served. At one point we waited for 30 min just for a water refill. And when it came time to pay the check, I had to get up and find our waitress. Again, we were the only ones in the Rundle Lounge. It seems the Banff Springs Hotel is relying solely on its name and has given up on service."

"We really enjoyed the view from the Rundle Lounge. It is a very nice setting for high tea. We enjoyed how the server brought around a trolley of teas and gave us the chance to smell them before we decided what we wanted. The food was fairly good, it would have been nice to have a few less desserts and a few more sandwiches. What would improve the experience would be if there had been one more server in the area, as our server had to wait on all the tables so we had quite a wait until she could get to us. I think it was almost an hour until we actually were brought food from the time we had arrived. Despite that, the server was courteous and patient."

"The Afternoon Tea was something I have wanted to do for some time. The meal consists of a beautiful pot of tea, crustless sandwiches, a fruit plate, sweets and scones with Devon cream and jam. This is a very expensive indulgence so it's not something you'd do every day. The sandwiches were strange, and actually close to inedible, the fruit plate was far less than fresh, and the pastries were unremarkable. The service was extremely slow. for $100.00 the food and service should be exemplary. We weren't the only people who had an issue with tea that afternoon. We had a table of young women next to us who were just as disturbed by the poor quality as we were, so I'm certain there will be more less than stellar reviews."

"Afternoon tea is a lovely idea if the quality of the pastries lives up, these did not. Too few sandwiches (which we nice) and too many heavy, heavy pastries - they should be light and fluffy. Scones and cream are supposed to come with come with lashings of cream not just a tiny amount. Come on Banff Springs bring it up to four stars!!!"

"When you arrive at the Banff Hot Springs, locating the Rundle Lounge for afternoon tea is difficult. Once you have located the place for afternoon tea, the view is absolutely breathtaking. The tea and staff are lovely. The food is very good (only exception was the chocolate cake was too dry for my liking). They were also very accommodating for my 4 year old daughter. I would definitely reccommended this experience to my friends."

"Table for two was oval shaped and too small for my friend and I who are petite women. None of the twosome tables were next to windows while larger ones were located in prime locations. Ours was backed against a column and our view as blocked by groups at the larger tables. It would make more sense to place smaller tables next to the windows where quiet conversations can take place. Larger groups were more interested in engaging in conversation with each other than enjoying the view.
The last time I was here 3 years ago I had a wonderful leisurely morning with my adult children at tea. I was shocked to see the increase in price as the sandwich bread was dry and service was not as professional. I won't return due to these reasons."
