Come join us at Searhouse - our Steaks are Prime dry-aged in-house for 28 days and simply melt in your mouth. Our chef brings 20 years of Peter Lugers experience - from dry aging, butchering, and grilling to perfection. We also offer an incredible selection of fresh Seafood and other delights.
The Searhouse is an ultra modern restaurant with 2 floors. Once inside you will notice all the glass that surrounds the restaurant. There is a lounge with a state of the art fireplace that has become a conversation centerpiece. Upstairs there is a dining room available for private parties.

"We came here for Mother's Day for lunch with my family everything was great we were seated on a round table for 7 of us the place was full but everything went well service we very good as per food my crab cakes was excellent and it seemed like everybody else loved their appetizers for second course my rib eye was cooked to perfection and it was really juicy and it was excellent we all had a good time."

"It was very crowded on Mother's Day, and despite have a reservation, we had to wait a while for our table. But it was worth it. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. There are some really interesting points of decor - particularly the water wall and the backlit solid onyx bar - that you don't ever see in this area of Bergen County. The friendly bartender was very accommodating about making the old fashioned drink my mother requested exactly the way she wanted it while we waited for our table. The hostess was sweet and engaging. We had steaks and Ahi tuna that were of outstanding quality and nicely prepared. Overall we really enjoyed the experience and felt we had found something new and different in this place."

"This was our 2nd time at Sear and it wasn't as good as the first time.
We were seated in a horrible area very near the kitchen.
Service was just plain bad. One waiter walked around with a water jug and never filled my glasses. Had to ask 3 times for a glass of milk for my kid.

Very slow with main course and the beef was surprisingly tough. The Tuna was good, however.
French fries were soggy.

"Came in with a group of people. Everything went as we planned. Had a drink at the bar, then we proceeded to the table. Service was excellent we had few waiters and the owner serving us. Appetizers were delicious as well as our steak. The entire night went smooth, we drank so much and had a blast at Sear. Can't wait to go back."

"We were looking forward to a great steakhouse and were totally dissappointed! I was sent the wrong dish and both our steaks were tasteless and swimming in grease! The lobster mashed potatos were runny and the creamy spinach wasn't good. The salad that came with the meals had no flavor either. The service was fine but there were way too many servers in the dining room at one time. At one point there was a table of two surrounded by four staff! Their personal conversations were distracting and totally unprofessional. The only notable thing was the house cabernet was delicious and the cheese, olive and pepper plate was a nice touch. If you're looking for a good steak place...this isn't it. Not worth the price. Very dissappointing."

"This place represents a classic steakhouse with an ultramodern look. Everything in the bar and all the way to the dinning room sparkles. I was certainly pleased how they handled us. We waited for our friends at the bar and had a drink there. Then, when all of us got together we were seated at a nice big booth. We were interested to have a bottle of red. Sear has a large notable wine list selection, we all shared a bottle of Californian Jordan Cab. I ordered a double cut Veal and a side order of crispy skinny fries. My wife had Lamb chops and mash pataoes and said they were delicious. My companion seemed to enjoy the food too. Dessert was followed by a hot choc. lava. Everything was magnificent. We'll be going back for sure."

"This resturant was very nice although my husband and I ordered the lobster and filet mignon for 2 and we prefer our steak medium well and the waiterpretty much refused to have it cooked that way. He said its not really good if you get it cooked any more then medium rare! So I told him he has to at least have it made medium. It was still medium rare in my opinion, but the plates are so hot, ( which is nice and unique). That the steak cooked enough more for us to eat it. The lobster was delicious! Overall we really liked it and would go back, but will try other dishes besides the steak."

"Excellent experience. First we had a drink at the their beautiful bar then we were seated at the booth nice and cozy. We shared an iceburg wedg excellent for main course i had dover sole fish it came with mashed potatoes and little vegetables and it was excellent my hubby had 17oz steak he was very happy too we shared broccol and maccaroni and cheese booth were very good. We did not have a dessert because we were full. But next time I would deffintely try the apple galete.
Service was very friendly and attentive.
The place is georgeous very modern open clean and fresh its something diferent in the Bergen County.

"I really was let down by my experience. I went to this restaurant at 8pm on a Saturday night. The service was pretty bad. My girlfriend and I sat for a an unreasonably long time before our first course. Then we didn't have time to eat it before the next courses were served. The ambiance was okay. The food was not impressive. My girlfriend had sea bass which was bland. I had the surf and turf. Outback does it better for half the price. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant."

"Stooped by with my wife around 7:30. We were seated right up. It was great as usual, we are literally addicted to their steak, which we also ordered it this times as well. My wife ordered her asparagus g.o. for a side dish and I had my b. rabe. Starters were also amazing, we had sea scallops and asparagus to share. Service was on point and very friendly. Wild berry tart for dessert literally melted in my mouth and is now my favorite dessert. Will be definetly going back. Thank you Sear, keep it up."

"Very energetic restaurant. We were seated in the bar area which is nice but our table was next to the service area somewhat in the middle of nowhere. Service was somewhat attentive, but dinner was rushed! The food quality is good, but probably not worth the prices. Lobster appetizer was chewy. Steak was perfectly cooked , but comes out pre-sliced. Not what i expect at a Steak house. Also the steak was swimming in butter. A good steak does not need butter, nor to be sliced!! I feel the food is good, but not worth the prices they charge, I believe there are better steakhouses"

"We 've eaten here many times. The steaks are always excellent; both tender and flavorful. This time I tried the lobster and I have to say it was very delicious. The service is both professional and friendly. The restaurant has been decorated in a beautiful and comfortable manner.
It's certainly the best steakhouse around. The salad is complimentary which keeps the prices reasonable for the prime quality of the food they are serving."

"Came in with my husband around 7:30. Allthough we were here once before with our friends, a party of 6, we decided to try this restaurant once more. We weren't disappointed at all. Both times we had a same waiter who was very friendly and patient, brought the fish just as I asked. Fish was served with spinach which I don't prefer but I sub'ed it for the side of mash pataoe, tasty but not the best I've had. My husband decided to have Short Ribs, and said they were very good. Dessert was followed by a lava cake, an outstanding sweet. We were offered an after dinner drink which we kindly declined.
This restaurant gives you a vibe of Nyc steakhouse, located in suburban area."

"Waiter was either new or not enthusiastic about his job. Food was very good but service was disappointing. Also went for my husbands birthday but they sang "happy birthday to Michael" instead of Richard (Richard is my husbands name). The effort was there but apparently the wrong birthday guest?"

"Dont like paying over $40.00 for a filet and having it come already sliced, all juices are gone. also told we get 2 sides with meal abd then found out charged us extra.
Overpriced."

"great food. we went on Valentine's Day so they were super busy, we wouldn't hold mediocre service against them since it was a "holiday". From steak, to chicken, to shrimp, to the wine, it was a very enjoyable meal. the sauce on my stuffed hen was just amazing.
a bit pricey, but that's because everything is top notch, well worth it."

"Appears to be a solid new find for us. Tuna and Filet were excellent.

One suggestion on the sliced filet mignon....it's served in a plate sizzling in it's juices. I'd suggest draining the juices before serving. Reason being, as you eat it, you start to feel there's too much grease and it begins to spoil the experience (and don't get me wrong...the meal was great). Also, if you want to put your sides on the plate, like broccoli or mashed potatoes, they start to sizzle too. Just an idea....."

"Hasn't quite hit stride. Steak was unevenly cooked. Waiter was engaging but not attentive enough. Wait staff delivered another table's drink, appetizer then main course so something if off on the table numbers. We wanted to like it. Not sure we'd run back."

"Excellent overall. Bacon was very thick and crispy. Had scallop wrapped in prosciutto appetizer which was good too. Went with 6 total people, each couple had porterhouse for 2, cooked exactly to order for each. Very pleasant service, classic steakhouse feel, cool bar scene, would definitely go back."

"The food was very good, but also had the NY prices to go with it. Service was average. The bus boys were more attentive refilling our water than the wait staff. Decor is elegantly modern and comfortable. Will eventually try again."

"Service was terrible. One waiter working at least half the main dining room. Took 45 minutes for apps and then the waiter would disappear for long stretches. Asked for dessert menu after meal and didn't come for 20 min so asked for check, which then had two desserts that we didn't even order on the bill. This was not a good Valentine's Day experience. Very expensive, mediocre meat quality, and terrible service."

"We had booked a table for three but made a last minute change to a group of five. There was no problem at all. Maitre'd sat us right-away. The place is spacious and has a modern look, huge parking lot w/ valet. Service was excellent and very attentive. Steak was tender and juicy, mac & cheese and asparagus side order were really good. The bar looks really cool too.

"Wanted to try something local vs heading to NYC for steak. Very pleased with the food but found the service lacking. One waiter took our drink order, another told us the special and then the owner took our order. This lead to confusion when it came time to serve us. No one seemed to know who got what. In the end we saw the busboy more than any one waiter. Steaks were great as were the sides
Going to try one more time to see if the service improves
Also the Searhouse bar needs to get pitted olives to serve in martinis. Big no no to use a whole olive."
