"Went here on a last minute reservation for Cinco de Mayo and had a great time. Two younger eaters along but all was well. The food was great especially the fresh chips and made on premise salsa. The mussel app was outstanding. Good beer selection complementary for the food. Service was a little slow but the wait staff was very accomodating (especially for my youngest who is slighly picky about her burritos). We would definitely go again!"

"We had made reservations for 7:15 p.m. on a Saturday night and were assured by staff at the restaurant that they could accommodate our party. When we arrived, we were given many excuses for our table not being ready (i.e. they were clearing the table, they were setting the table, they were waiting for 2 parties to leave, they were waiting for a party of 14 to leave). They did not seat us to 8:30 p.m. We were not offered any appetizers, drinks, or desserts and no discount. In fact, the restaurant's hostess seemed to suggest that this was my fault for adding two additional people to the reservation (6 to 8), even though when I called the restaurant they said it was no problem. After waiting all of that time, the food came out luke warm."

"Outstanding and very different Mexican style food. Scallops were amazing. Appetizers delish. They have a liquor permit now so expect $7 per drink. Salad was a bit salty. We will go again!"

"We were excited to try La Villa as there are not a lot of Mexican restaurants in our area. Sadly, it would not turn out as we hoped. While the food was very good, the service was greatly lacking.
We did get seated quickly when we arrived, but we had to ask 2-4 times for chips and salsa prior to ordering dinner and then after we had ordered when nothing had come, a side of guacamole which had been ordered to go with our meal, and our check, which took almost 30 minutes after we asked. Luckily, we were not in a rush to go, but it was annoying nonetheless.
While we enjoyed our meals, we think we will wait for them to get through any growing pains before trying them again."

"We visited here after hearing some favorable comments hoping to find authentic Mexican fare. This restaurant didn't do it for us. We were promptly seated soon after we arrived and greeted by our friendly, helpful server. Our margaritas were delightful and plentiful. The nachos were also very good with the shredded beef topping and not excessively gloppy. Our entrees though, were disappointing. The enchiladas were uninspired and swimming in mole sauce. They were accompanied by a side of tasteless beans. We are still on the hunt for some real Mexican food."

"Husband and I had the guacamole and grilled shrimp appetizer. The shrimp were jumbo and grilled perfectly. The guac was fresh and yummy. The portion was huge. Dinners were both seafood - one grouper, one salmon. Once again both were cooked perfectly and the seasonings right on. Great little spot."
