"One of the only restaurants in Dallas that truly knows how to cook fish!! I had the most exquisite Alaskan halibut and it was cooked perfectly and simply. Nick Badovinus is to be commended for always having the freshest ingredients available and knowing how to use them...what a talent."

"tried to go a couple of years ago, but there was a 2 hour wait! no wait this time (at 9 p.m.) and so glad we tried again. appetizers and entrees were excellent. only downside - very loud (guy beside us was crazy loud - maybe just our bad luck). waiter helpful and knowledgeable."

"Had dinner here during the week with two good friends. The service was excellent. Our server did an outstanding job...he recited the specials from memory, was on top of the drinks and was very attentive. The only issue was the restaurant was out of a number of items. They didn't have the bar stocked with two specialty bourbons that were on the menu which we were excited about trying, they ran out of the schnitzel entrée special, they were out of Silver Oak cab, they were out of decaf espresso/cappuccino. Almost everything we tried to order was out of stock. Hopefully they restock the inventory before I come again."

"This place is one of my favorites restaurants in Dallas! The food I always unbelievable and the service is remarkable. My fiancé and I have been coming here for a few years now and every time is better than the last. We always ask for Brett as our server. He is incredibly knowledgeable and had worked there since it opened. He is awesome. I can't wait to go back!"

"We went early on a Friday night for a nice date night. The hostess recognized it was our first time and we were seated promptly. We ordered an appetizer, two entrees, a side and two drinks each but our server seemed annoyed that we did not want to order salads or dessert. She seemed more interested in telling us how things were "the best in town" instead of answering our questions. My husbands burger was a little overly charred and my pheasant milanese was bland. Because we went early, there were lots of children and the atmosphere was energetic (loud). Overall, not bad but not great."

"It was my wife's and my first time dining at Neighborhood Services and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding and the service was just as good. The only down side was that it was very noisy as we were seated at a 2 top in the bar area. Other than that it was a great experience and we will defiantly return."

"Great restaurant on Lovers in Dallas. It has a rugged lodge feel and a country BBQ aroma which doesn't match its foodie offerings on the menu. The wine list is great and the menu is very inventive. We started with the crudo appetizer, and I'm not sure if raw fish is the wisest choice here, or maybe it was just the salmon offering we had the night we went. The fish entree special however was to die for - arctic char over yummy grits! Great neighborhood spot!"

"We'll just pretend our server didn't vanish the moment our food appeared, never to be seen again until he was ready to present a check and act shocked that we were testy with him.
That aside, the food was perfect as always - with one miss. (The broccolini was awful - bitter and overly spicy hot. We would have sent it back if the waiter had shown back up.)
We split two appetizers, had several different entrees (Thurs. Chicken Pot Pie, scallops, chicken and pasta)and two desserts - all PERFECT."

"Valentine's Day-requested a booth at reservation. The booth was a hightop table in the bar, by the door. It was like having dinner at a bar. The dinner salad was excellent, the best! We were advised to split one. We regretted taking that advise. It wasn't enough. We ordered an appetizer, but our waitress didn't write it down and our entrees came out after the salad. The chef sent one out, at no charge, after our entrees. Very nice gesture. Just not so appealing, at that point. We each had garlic spinach, as our side. It was delicious, but the portion was so small. I had fish. My boyfriend had the 18 oz steak(bone had to be 10oz), but we left hungry. We weren't offered bread, either. Disappointments: Bar atmosphere and portions."

"Friendly service awaits you. Plenty of whiskey/wine choices on the menu. Dim lighting. Good menu choices from salads to burgers and steak, lots of fish and some chicken. The flat-bread pizza is totally nice! Sausage and crisp apple together - oh yes. Desserts are really good...the Dingdong being rich and decadently chocolatey without any cloying sweetness, just earthy flavor.
It's a nice place to go with groups, or to have a drink after dinner, to hang out in a booth or gather at a table, spending time in conversation with reasonably good food in an easygoing atmosphere."
