Elizabeth's Gone Raw is a one night a week affair where every Friday Night we offer an extraordinary dining experience. We merge our gorgeous venue with a prix fixe Raw Tasting Menu. Each course is created to evoke the essence of living foods, prepared with imagination and thoughtfulness, selecting seasonal organic products. Each dish boasts a variety of flavors, colors and textures combining raw ingredients in ways that are both healthy and innovative. Everything we serve is free of dairy, gluten and meats. All of our "cheeses" are made by blending fresh herbs with sprouted nuts and seeds. (Our menus are updated every week).
"This was my second time dining at EGR and I was not disappointed! The food and service are amazing. So amazing that I can guarantee your satisfaction even if you are an avid meat eater. Give it a try!"

"Quite possibly the best restaurant in town, and it just so happens to be raw vegan. Their kale chips are legendary, and the service and atmosphere can't be beat. I always try to include a Friday in my trips to the DC area just so I can eat here."

"I ate at Elizabeth's Gone Raw several years ago. At that time it was outstanding. Most recently I would rate the food as OK across the board. Hard to define but the flavors of the food, with the exception of the Tri-Colored Pasta, were unremarkable. Unfortunate change for this unique restaurant."

"Elizabeth's is an so much fun, and truly a decadent experience worth having often. The menu was incredible. The concept has come together so well and is truly like no other dining experience. Once I entered Elizabeth's everyone treated me like a queen. My dinner guest and I had a great time."

"Everything about this experience was great - the food, the wine, the music, the room and the service. This is every bit as good as some of the finest "regular" restaurants in DC. For those who are not vegan or vegetarian, I urge you to try this as an alternative to your usual fave resto. You won't be disappointed. The food is sublime and very sophisticated in its preparation and presentation. I should also mention that the wine pairings were excellent and reasonably priced and the room is quite elegant."

"This is my second time at Elizabeth's Gone Raw. The kale chips are amazing. I loved it the first time I went, the menu is different every Friday, so in that sense it can be hit or miss. This past Friday I didn't love any of the courses, the nut cheese were very heavy for someone who eats vegan raw all the time and the spiralized squash noodles were underwhelming. They also only have 2 reds by the glass and the Sommelier wasn't happy when we didn't like either selection. They do have a wine pairing that is selected for each course but I can't drink that much wine.
I think your experience depends on what they're serving on a given night. I will definitely go back as it is one of the few places I can eat raw, vegan"

"We were very impressed with our dinner. The food was fabulous and very creative. The wine pairings were very good as well. Overall a delightful fine dining experience - especially for those of us who can't find great healthy restaurant food very often! The service was also exceptional - 5 star quality all around in our opinion."

"An interesting experience doing a high end vegan/raw dinner. The food was excellent, and the service attentive. However, the "mushroom scallops" entree was the least successful of all the courses. The texture was spongy, and somewhat unpleasant.
The rest of the meal was superb: the cucumber soup was excellent, the kale chips were an unexpected surprise, and the mise bouche left us wanting a plateful.
The wine pairings were fabulous, and the thoroughly enjoyed the descriptions by our somelier.
Dessert was also good (chocolate), but a little too rich and heavy on the heels of such a light meal."

"From the moment we arrived (6 pm) we were spoiled with attention. All our questions on the townhouse building, the artwork, and the cuisine were answered politely and completely. The wine complemented each course and all the food was extremely flavorful."

"We are not vegans, but always wanted to try. Elizabeth's Gone Raw is a phenomenal gateway and destination for elegant vegan dining. We experienced the Feb 1 tasting menu with the wine pairing, and were hooked from the first taste. We will be back for more and will bring friends."
