"Where to start.... Was delighted Baton had reopened. The food is quite good there.
We arrived a couple minutes after our reservation (traffic was bad). We were greeted nicely and seated immediately. The place wasn't too busy.
NINETEEN minutes later - 19 (!) - our server finally made it to our table. We were literally one minute from leaving.
She blamed the host staff for not letting her know a new group arrived.
We ordered a bottle of wine and a pop for the kid. We also ordered our meal. The pop showed up promptly.
A couple minutes later - she let's us know the wine was sold out. ordered something else.
Our food showed up - NO WINE
Food was usual Baton.

"Overall we had a very poor experience at the Scarborough location. I had reserved for a group of 14 people to celebrate a milestone birthday, this was the only location able to accomodate the numbers for the date we wanted. We ended up with 16 people (one couple brought their children) and we apologized for the mix-up and asked for two extra chairs. We were told no! A party of 30 left and no one else used their table, two tables emptied in our section and we rearranged the table to accomodate two more people and the manager came running into the room yelling at us that we can't do that, all tables were booked and he didn't have any extra chairs. The restaurant was not fully booked the rest of the evening, and there were plenty of chair"

"Following up on our reservation from last Saturday, we were very disappoint with our experience at this location.
This is the second time we have been there since it reopened and in both cases the service been extremely slow.
Three or the four people in the party ordered a Mardi Gras 3 course special.
The food was good, but it took almost one hour before it actually arrived. We had made our reservations at 6:15 expecting that we would have plenty of time to get to our local theatre show at 8pm. We did not order drinks so there was no real delay in the food order.
We had mentioned this to our waitress in conversation when we ordered at we were heading to the theatre . At 7:25 we told here we would need our deserts and bill since we w"

"Will never go back.
The renovation of such a historic mansion was done in bad taste!
It could have been an historical attraction such as the Lincoln restaurant in Manhattan, NY.
As for the food, for the same price better meat can be had anywhere in the GTA!

"Booked a reservation to celebrate a special occasion. Made a special request (a cold bottle of red wine), which was correctly fulfilled. The waiter (Jeff) was fantastic, knew when to come by and how to make sure everything was to perfection."
