"We enjoyed our time at Carnaval Brazilian BBQ. The service was excellent. The side dishes were OK. The BBQ was outstanding. The grilled pineapple was to die for. We will go back for sure. The place is very busy, and around 8:30PM it got very loud."

"The food was excellent, but the wine and liquor prices pushed the bill from moderate to exorbitant. Overall, the value for money was not good. The restaurant was extremely noisy. You can't hear the people at your own table, or the servers. Put in some noise baffling in the ceiling."

"Noise level was very high, would recommend for groups but not for a romantic dinner. Dinner is flat rate and somewhat pricey, this could have been offset by a reasonably priced wine list but unfortunately was not - least expensive bottle of wine was $36 for a U.S.A. red. Meats were very flavourful but side dishes were less memorable."

"My wife and I celebrated our Anniversary at Carnaval. the people were great, from the Hostess I dropped the flowers off with earlier in the day to all of the staff we were involved with for dinner. Friendly, informative, attentive (without being smothering), and professional. The food was also really good. With the only flaws being that the one sirloin was a little on the chewy side and the one pork dish was a little salty. The sausage was spicy and terrific the chicken thighs were tasty and tender. The lamb was as good as I have ever had. The ribeye, tenderloin and bacon wrapped chicken were almost melt in your mouth delicious. The cinnamon dusted bbq pineapple was like candy. With a nice wine it made for a great time. We will be back."

"I brought my boyfriend here for a birthday dinner feast. It was okay, if you love to eat ALOT of meat you would enjoy it. However if you usually do have smaller meals then I wouldn't recommend eating here unless you're willing to a eat ALOT. The unlimited sides were also OKAY but the choices weren't extravagant. I was expecting a more better overall experience, as the restaurant pertains appears from the outside to be more lively and such, but when you enter it looks like a normal restaurant. We didn't get any additional drinks or desserts and with tip the total for 2 people was over 100 dollars. We would have rather gone to a different restaurant and would have spent 60 dollars for a better meal with desserts and drinks."

"Out standing! Service was great and the food was even better, we thought we would try something a little different for date night and we are happy we did! The menu selection is well rounded definetly something for everyone. We made a reservation for an early dinner at 5, I would recommend this time for anyone who is going on that romantic date night like we did, by 6:00 the resturant was full and buzzing with voices, we where happy to have that first bit to be more relaxed and quite. We are definetly coming back time and time again!"

"i just came back from brazil and i found that the service wasnt quite as good as what i had been receiving in brazil. i especially didnt appreciate making a reservation for later than i would like ( i wanted 7 but 8 was the earliest) and then having to wait for 45 minutes after we got there (asked for a table of 2)"

"Great concept and very authentic based on our research and prior experience in other countries. Meat was very delicious and the sides we tried were also very well prepared. "It was way too noisy - hard to have a conversation. Found most of the beef delivered to the table was well done. No ribs or chicken thighs in sight, although these are on the menu. Lovely touch to have the owner come to the tables but would have preferred to see our salads arrive. They were out of the cheese so neglected to tell us or offer us an alternative salad until we asked.Would recommend for the unique experience but not for the food"

"We found the restaurant to be very loud. It was difficult, at times, to have a conversation.

The food was fantastic. The sides were different and delicious; not typical side dishes. The meat came at a frantic pace until we realized we had not turned our cards to 'red'. We all definitely got our fill. The gauchos were fantastic and very friendly.

Our waitress could have been a little more attentive and friendly. She was absent most of the time. And it took quite awhile to get our bill and make payment. However the other people were at our table quickly to refill water, etc. The restaurant ran out of Coke, which was very odd.

Overall, it was a great experience and we would recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back."

"We ate in the lounge area because we only wanted the tapas menu, you could only eat upstairs in the main restaurant if you were having the all you can eat BBQ menu, which at $39pp was a bit more than we wanted to spend that evening. "The food was so flavorful and moist. The fact that you could have as much or as little as you like is great, but the fact they keep the bringing new selections to the table is a bonus.

"I was very dissappointed with their menu. Carnaval restaurant didnt have hardly any choices of salads and they also didnt have any beef ribs. I have been to the Brazilian Restaurant in the States a few times and that one is a million times better. The service at the Carnaval was good but the price was way too expensive for the type of food you get there. I wouldnt go back to the Carnaval Restaurant."

"We went to Carnaval on a Thursday night. Upon arrival we waited a few minutes in the lounge while our table was being reset and then were brought upstairs. We sat right in front of the BBQ and watched all the action unfold in front of our eyes. Our server was very attentive and explained the concept pretty well and started us off right away with drinks and a couple of sides. I must say that the pastels were excellent. After ordering a couple more sides, including a great chickpea salad and wild rice and bean dish and Feijoada (a brazilian staple), we flipped our cards to green and the gauchos (meat carvers) brought us mouth-watering cuts of beef, chicken, pork and lamb. The Picanha and maminha were our favorites. I highly recommend Carnaval"

"Booked a reservation for 2 people through open table for a saturday night. Restaurant is on second floor with lounge on first floor. The table was ready when we arrived and in fact they gave us a choice of a couple different tables. Chose to sit at a higher table beside the BBQ area so watched all the skewers being prepared. Did not select an appetizer. The waiter chose a couple of sides for us to start, a rice dish and a potato salad. We also sampled a chickpea salad and a panzanella salad. We flipped our cards over and the meat parade started. I did like that with them cutting off small pieces, you can sample a lot of different meats. Steaks were tender, did not notice a lot of difference in the different cuts. Anything wrapped in bacon"

"Food was very tasty, lightly seasoned. Nice variety of side dishes available. All staff were very attentive and friendly. Servers explained what was being brought around. Fresh fruit drinks were being offered by an energetic girl, that was not only entertaining but full of information. Our group had a lovely time and I would recommend this restaurant to my friends."

"It's a meat place. In the restaurant your only option is to order 'all you can eat'. If you can't or don't want to eat a lot of meat I don't think the value for your money is there. The sides are good, but you gotta like meat to make it worth your while."

"Once we were seated server was very attentive and helpful with the menu and how the service worked. I think her name was Jordana. She was great. The variety of dishes was interesting. Most side dishes were flavourful, a couple were a bit bland. Some of the meat was a bit chewy, like the sirloin cap. Most was delicious, lots of flavour and tender. The lamb was fabulous! The meat servers were friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back."

"Good restaurant for hungry meat lovers who like a variety of meats. Know your limits though...it's easy to want to over-eat to get your money's worth. The vegetarian meal was interesting: a bean patty on green paste, sprinkled with pickled veggies. Try the Brazilian wine."

"Wonderful choices of meat, endless offering, one must starve for days before going, once you are there you do not want to leave, very satisfying, tremendous sides, lots of them when asked, hint: leave you Sunday best at home, but what do you expect going to a bbq joint?"

"We were thrilled with our first visit to this delightful restaurant.
Service was excellent- friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the novelty
of a variety of delicious meats brought to our table every two minutes or so.
The four of us sampled over a dozen side dishes and found them to be flavourful.
We had a great evening, and will definately return."

"We went for a lunch on a Monday and it was not very busy. The meat was good but there was no salad bar. We left feeling full but not feeling gross. The service was great and we will definitely be back for lunch but probably not dinner."

"We arrived at 5 pm, I think that was when they opened. Disorganized Hostess, room full of people waiting to be seated and an empty restaurant. Once seated waited 20 minutes for cooked food to be brought around. Side dishes had already been brought to us and were already cold. Alot of the cooked food brought to the table was warm or cool, not hot. Restaurant was not full, staff was not running on their feet, not overworked. Served alot of chicken and sausage, prime cuts of beef were few and far between. We could have eaten alot of sausage at Perkins for $39.00 a head. We dine out often and will always return where the service and food are quality. Need alot of work here."

"Food was fantastic and lots of it. All you want.
Many different cuts of meats all cooked to what ever is your pleasure, rare to well done.
Cooking with charcoal is awsome. And them cooking not far from you is cool too. The smells of the cooking sure don't hurt anything either."

"Excellent food! The restaurant is smaller than I anticipated, which explains why I had I make the reservation so early. The staff were friendly and brought all the cuts of meat that we requested. They had a lovely capairinha drink cart going around to all of the tables. Overall a great experience. I will definitely return."

"The food was amazing, but we were a table of two surrounded by larger tables. It seemed like they got 75% of the attention from the servers bringing the meat around. My fiance was looking forward to the Chicken options, be we basically never saw them. If they did come around, the larger tables would consume all of the meat before coming to us. Don't get me wrong, the experince was very good, the servers were all very personable but maybe have the servers focus on the smaller tables first, then move to the larger ones. Overall experience was very positive, and I plan on going back."

"Seated on time. Servers were good and some very attentive. Sides were sparce and took a while to get. Not all meats came around - we had to request the ones we missed. Food was very salty and expect for the salt the only really good meat was the spicy sausage. Cocktails were very pricy at $11 for 2 ounces and were served in very small glasses.

Don't know whether it was the rare meat or the fruit in the cocktails but something did not agree with me and I spent the remainder of the night and morning with stomach troubles.

Not really sure that it was worth the $130."
