DYNE presents itself as a globally accented Iberian and Asian menu drawing vibrancy from the culinary brightness of both its chefs and the city.
The plates are a union of ideals from various regions creating inspired dishes rooted in traditional techniques. Our philosophy involves stimulating textures, flavours and colours that are present throughout our menu bringing forth a modern, balanced and seasonal approach.
A city as culturally diverse as Toronto demands a strong culinary contribution that is reflective and shares it's model. DYNE does just that with a stylishly modest and characteristically muted space that invites a relaxed vibe to sample our shared plates and tempting cocktails.
"We used a Groupon here for a Friday night dinner. The whole experience was wonderful. Our server was extremely helpful with the menu and attentive, even though we were using a Groupon. The menu is quite extensive, with many interesting appetizer selections and entre options, with excellent dessert choices too. The pappardelle was amazing, with a succulent broth and tender pasta, for $14, very good value. The lobster salad was also outstanding. Both mains of Cornish hen and halibut were beautifully presented and wonderfully flavoured. The dessert we ordered with the dolce de leche ice cream was unusual and tasty. We would return there and have already recommended it to friends."

"We recently had the pleasure of dinning at DYNE and had a very pleasant time. The restaurant has a great modern decor. When we were there it was not very busy so it was quiet and we could actually talk to each other without raising our voices. The food was well prepared and presented. The portions for the mains were on the small size, however the flavours were very intense. Wine selection was good and fair value. In all the experience was a good one and we'd go back."

"The cold lobster appetizer was fantastic - and not even because of the lobster. Shrimp would have worked fine, as it's the mix of ingredients (papaya, avocado, vinegrette) that makes the dish super tasty!"

"Delightful experience! We had the pan de Sal (warm, good but needed more cheese topping), eggplant (reminded me of mom's cooking), sardine (good on its own without the potato and sausage), Cornish hen (an option of steamed rice vs. potato would have brought this dish over the top), and mackerel (light and tasty). Good selection of wines! Service seemed frazzled say times, but overall an enjoyable evening!"

"They really need to work on the service: - We had to wait a very long time for our drinks and food - They brought us the wrong appetizer, which was suppose to be for the table beside us and when we mentioned it is for the table beside us they took it back to the kitchen and took another 10 mins to bring the same appetizers for the poor couple beside us.
- Food quality was excellet"

"What a lovely surprise. This is such nice spot on Avenue Rd. The food was very good. We really enjoyed the lobster salad. The prices are fair and the menu choices are interesting and varied. The service was very friendly too."

"The service was excellent, the food was good, some dishes were great (lobster appetizer), some were average (the main beef dish). The setting was classy and nice but the music was way too loud and the style did not go with the rest of the restaurant (it was 'top 10 hits' and even Michael Jackson at one point)."

"Greatly enjoyed dinner at Dyne. Food was excellent, creative, and unusual. The crudo apptetizer contained very fresh hamachi and tuna that you would only get in a high end sushi restaurant. The lilly bulb was a very nice touch, and complemented the fish. My partner had the raviolo that I would highly recommend. Both are great for sharing. Mains were wonderful too - short ribs and hamachi. Perfect. Creative with interesting seasaoning. There is a lot of attention to detail lie semi-tourneered potatoes. Deserts were superb. The wine list although not deep is excellent with many choices at reasonable prices. The restaurnt was quiet when we were there but i expect if there were more people it would have been a noiser"

"Food and service were both very good. I had the lobster and duck, both delicious and nicely cooked. My sister had the pork belly and the Hamachi, also both delicious. Only thing I found weird was the music, completely unsuitable for this type of restaurant."

"My husband and I had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner at Dyne. The staff were all helpful, friendly, efficient, and intuitive with our needs. The ambience was warm, vibrant, and romantic. We enjoyed our meals which were cooked to perfection, and attractively presented. I ordered the Cornish Hen. My husband ordered the duck. As for the dessert menu it will appeal to anyone with a sweet tooth. And, don't worry because there are plenty of sweet offerings to tempt your tastebuds. Richard Andino, the Executive Chef/Owner, has struck gold with his restaurant, and Dyne even offers valet parking. Enjoy your experience, you won't regret it."

"Dining on a Friday night was surprised to see that the restaurant was less than half occupied. Likely due to Winterlicious. The room is welcoming and well-appointed. Large paintings of a Japanese chef knife, a Coke can, open ketchup etc. all add humour to the room. The service was fantastic with everyone chipping in. The executive chef made the rounds and answered all of our culinary questions. The menu had a lot of great appetizer options and we had to settle on 5 for the two of us. Highlights would be the Filipino pork belly - crispy with a delectable sauce of pureed plaintains, soy etc. The sardine was delicious and the presentation of all dishes were colourful and well thought out. It was just a great dining experience."

"Service was great - so was the food. A sharing menu with no shortage of options. Portions were somewhere between an appetizer and an entree - just like they should be. Had a really good experience. Will be recommending without question."
