"Dinner was great--short ribs were excellent (recommended by our server David). He also made recommendations for my 7-year old and offered to put her food order in first. She loves the koi pond and I love the ambiance of outside dining and efficient service. The Manager stopped by our able to check on us, which was nice. Lilikoi Mojitos are a must!

"Stayed at the Westin Princeville and dined at Nanea several times. They offer theme nights with different offerings, we dined here three times! The food was fresh, especially the fish selections, and prepared so well. Nanea was our favorite place to dine during our trip and it was nice to be able to stay at our resort. We will definitely return to Nanea on furture occasions."

"We liked it so much, we went back the next night. In Princeville, HI, there are not so many great restaurants. . Nanea is in the Westin Hotel. Nanea has specials each night and set meals with cocktails. Great food, nice selections, and the wines were nice too. If your "stuck" in Princeville, try it, you will not be disappointed."

"Enjoyed the House Special Journey Menu which came every 15 minutes. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Frozen MaiTai was specially blended for our table. Loved it! Desert was served on a large platter with "Happy 25th Anniversary" printed in chocolate."

"The food was SPECTACULAR. We got the tasting menu, which is SO worth it. And we also got the crab cakes and scallop, which is a must! Wish they had more sauce on the plate - we wanted to lick it up. A must! Best restaurant on the north shore, hands down!"

"Food was quite good, with beautiful presentation. I especially recommend the salmon and prawns as well as the tomato bisque. Service was attentive, polite, and timely.
Best of all is the setting, with a beautiful view of the grounds of the Westin Princeville resort, the lights from the tiki torches dancing off the reflected water of the infinity pool with the palms waving above in the soft Hawaiian tradewinds."

"I really enjoyed the service. Both the indoor and outdoor seating options have great ambiance. Compared to other Kauai restaurants at this level, I thought the quality and portion of food left a lot to be desired in their price range. The food was good, but not great. Unmemorable. Two of the three appetizers we tried were quite overpriced for the size of the portion. They do have a good selection of beverages, and a fairly extensive wine list. The live entertainment and the service was excellent, which made up for the rest. I wouldn't go there just for the food."

"The food was the highlight of the dinner. The preparation, the flavors and the creativity were outstanding. Unfortunately, we opted to sit indoors and the overhead lighting was glaring. We were told that the dimmer wasn't working. Also, the waitress was extremely pleasant and friendly, but she was covering a very large area and couldn't be as attentive as we were expecting.

"Wow, I would not have expected the restaurant at the resort to be so wonderful. We have eaten here twice already and everything has been prepared wonderfully with excellent service. We ordered the 5 course tasting menu one night and entrees from the menu the second time. Both the fish and beef preparations were so good that I can not decide what I enjoyed most. The menu changes daily. The wine pairing suggestions are great too and you can indulge as no need to drive since we are staying at the Westin. A must when staying on the North side and worth the trip if staying elsewhere."

"We stood at the entrance for approx. 10 minutes waiting to be greeted for our 5:30 reservation. We sat outside,the food was good although not spectacular. The portions were very small for the cost.Our server had two tables but did not come back to us until we had already finished. She also made no "note" of the special occasion we were celebrating."

"This was our first time at this restaurant. So we did not expect much. However, the food were very good beyond our expectation. We are fish lovers. So we both selected a main entrees from today's fresh dishes. My wife had a combo of Salmon&Prawn and MahiMahi, and I had Monchong. All are very delicious, pleasant match with Hawaii fruits based sources. Before that, we had Ahi Wraps as a starter. It was not actually a wrap. It tasted good but was hard to eat due to the large size rice piece for one bite, so we had to break it down. But overall, this restaurant was good and we decided to visit again."

"We came here on our last day at the Westin Resort Villas for Sunday Brunch. I had read a few reviews stating this was a must do ...
We had coupons from the resort to cover the $39.00 per person charge, but after dining here I would probably do it again out-of-pocket next time we come to this resort. It was a great buffet spread including Kauai Eggs Benedict with pork, crisp bacon, crab legs (pre cracked and easy to eat) shrimp, ahi sashimi, sushi, carved prime rib, fruits, antipasti, croissants ..and some delicious desserts and that was just what I put on my plate (needless to say I am home, dieting this week). We sat outside in the off again on again Feb rain, but they had the roll down windows up and it was quite fun and refreshing."
