"Food is not nearly as good as other tapas establishments in town, besides the flamenco performance which is amazing, atmosphere leaves much to be desired. Think Gringo's for Spanish cuisine. The quality of the food is nowhere on par with how much they're charging."

"This is our second time here. The first time there were not many people and we had great food and service. This time we went back later because we wanted to see the show. We were not disappointed. Though the place was more than packed, service was still great and the food the same. Everyone there is very nice and helpful. The show on Friday and Saturday nights is really good too. Would definitely suggest this place to any one I know."

"Spent several years in Spain and love tapas. This place gets them right. Close to House of Blues and Toyota Center. Great place for dinner before events."

"Excellent place. My wife is from Spain and we have been trying every Spanish restaurant in Houston over the last couple years. So far this is the best one and most authentic. We loved the food. The entertainment was also very nice. Service was great as well."

"This was a really fun restaurant with very good Tapas. The service was excellent and the Flamenco dancers and musicians were very fun. The atmosphere was loud and enthusiastic. We enjoyed it, but I would not recommend for a quiet dinner."

"Food was great. Atmosphere quite lively. While I enjoyed the live singing and dancing, it was too loud. They don't really need the microphones that was used."

"My wife and I had gone to the restaurant for the first time to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed. The tapas were excellent, the main courses were great, and the service was outstanding. I didn't expect the service to be as quick as it was; I expected it to be laid back just like in Spain, but we had more than just our waitress touch our table. My wife and I had a very great time and will visit again."

"We arrived on a Friday around 4, thirty minutes before our reservation because I got off work early. The restaurant was dead so we sat at the bar for drinks and to split a few appeitzers. The bartender on duty was so caught up in preparing for the night ahead, she never checked on our drinks or asked to take our order. I had to keep asking for her attention any time we needed something. The food was fantastic, and they make great mojito's to drink but the service was very poor. I really like the atmosphere of the restaurant and quality of food, but if they do not show their current customers attention, because they are preparing for the evening flow of customers, that tells me that they simply do not care for our business."

"My girlfriend and I had a great time @ Andalucia. The Flamingo dancers and musicians were top notch! We both loved the beef empanadas and the creme brulee was one of the best we've ever had. It was a great evening!!"

"My fiance and I made reservations for lunch since I wasn't sure how busy the restaurant would get. It was dead when we walked in at 11:45 but shortly after filled up with large groups of people from a near by convention. They put us by the serving station, so it was a little distracting but the food was fantastic! I ordered a pasta dish with mushrooms and tomatoes, and my fiance ordered a beef wrap. We were both very impressed with the dishes, in both size and presentation."

"Went to the Prado exhibition at the MFAH and decided to continue the Spanish theme by going for some Tapas. Andalucia is downtown. If there are events taking place in any of the sports venues - "event parking" can be an issue - but most of the restaurants have $10 or $12 valet parking - and if you park in the garage at the shopping center in the Houston Center - it is $5. The food was good, they have a huge selection of maybe 35 or more dishes. They also have some North African dishes that are entree size. On Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. they hav a Flamingo group - that sings, dances and plays guitar/drums on a small stage. They put on a pretty nice "free" show- and if you like flamingo - it is fun."

"The food was amazing, and the unexpected treat of a Flamenco show was incredible. Hang around and pace out your tapas in order to get the full experience. Waiter was great, made the evening even better. Highly recommended."

"My second visit to Andalucia..I love it! Every menu item I have tried has been wonderful. I particularly enjoy the Flamenco group that plays on the weekends. I have attended two birthday parties at the restaurant and the staff knows how to treat their guests."

"Pick this place because we were going to House of Blues later and wanted something a lil different. So glad we went here! Everything was amazing! The server, Angie, explained everything to my friend who had never had tapas before and made some great selections. The frozen sangria is a.h.mazing!! I have no complaints about this place and have told everyone about it."

"Good food! We bought the TravelZoo coupon and were not disappointed. We enjoyed 3 cold and 3 hot Tapas. For the cold tapas we had the Carpaccio de Cordero, Almon Ahumado, and Serrano y Manchego. The hot tapas we ordered were: Empanadillas de Espinaca, Albondigas Morunos, and Bastilla. Each item was delicious and well prepared. My favorite item was the Albondigas Morunos (roasted lamb meatballs with saffron couscous and carmelized onions). This was by far the best dish. The lamb meatballs were cooked to perfection and had a slight hint of mint. Overall this was a very nice dining experience and I'm glad I bought the coupon to try it. They say there is flamenco dancing on Friday nights! We might have to go enjoy that too!"

"The food was delicious!!!! The service was very good!!! However, when the music started, it was very loud and did not allow social conversation with dining partners. The music was non stop, and they were good, but it was too much and too loud."

"My first time at the Andalucia Tapas, so I didn't know what to expect. I wanted to see a demonstration of flamenco dancing so made a reservation for 4 at 7:30 pm on Friday in order to get a good table to view the show, which started at 8 pm. We arrived early, but they seated in the worst seats in the house. Once the restaurant filled up we couldn't view the performers at all. I'll know better next time. The food was very good. The waiter was quite helpful. We were a party of teatotalers that only drank ice water, and we ordered 5 or 6 of the tapas dishes. I especially liked the shrimp dish, gambas al Ajillo. The total bill was about $85."

"Our food was good as a whole. We got the lunch express and it was great. The only criticism we had was the salad had very little dressing on it and was tasteless. Also service was not good even though restaurant not busy. We go here often and believe this was just an off day."

"I visited this restaurant around 930pm on a Tuesday evening so it was pretty quiet. The kitchen closes at 10 and they were very prompt to inform me. I had a salad and an octopus appetizer and both were very tasty and flavorful. They have a nice array of wines by the glass and the Rioja I had was delicious. Based on the flavors I enjoyed, this is not a typical Tex-Mex place (they didn't have guacamole), but offers small tapas servings of some very creative dishes. I will return on my next visit."

"we had made a reservation for 8 for dinner and it we arrived 30 minutes early to be "on-time" for the show. the table was occupied by another group and there were no other tables set for our group. we waited approximatly 1hr before our table was ready. the manager that evening did graciously comp us a bottle of wine along with some appetizers and a sharable desert. thank you for that. other than that we will return to the restaurant since the food, atmosphere and entertainment was all worth the wait."

"The food was very good, except crabcakes fried dark brown. Of all reviews we have seen, everything suggests a poorly trained staff. We asked our waitress the price of sangria, glass vs. pitcher. She said pitcher was $30, glass $5. We ordered 2 glasses, which was fine--glasses are large. When the bill came, it was $9 per glass. When questioned, the waitress went back and verified the price. She came back and said, "Sorry, my mistake." She did not offer anything in the way of an adjustment.
We ordered 6 tapas dishes, and according to other reviews, expected them to drift out of the kitchen one or two at a time. All 6 came out at once. Not a biggie. Enjoyed the food. Waitress made us mad. Not going back."
