"Dined there on a Saturday evening before a symphony concert. The service was poor, and the food was bland and tasteless.
The server handed me my menu and asked if I was ready to order. I asked for a few minutes, and after about five minutes of sitting there reading a book on top of my menu because I had decided she returned to take my order. I got a second glass of wine when the waitress from another station noticed my empty glass.
All of the balsamic for my caprese salad was in some greens that I thought were just added - never saw in a caprese before. I had the Pollo di Mia Bella, which was absolutely tasteless. Even the broth was watery and flavorless despite being green from the pesto.
I have been to other locations - this was bad."

"We were there on Mother's Day, but not for the Brunch. We had reservations at 4p.m., the brunch ended at 3 p.m. I don't know if our waitress was new, but, she seemed to have some difficulty. Once she took our order, she came by once to ask how the food was, then we never saw her again. Someone else brought the order, and someone else brought us the check. We waited way too long for our food, (I am assuming this was not the fault of the waitress), considering, there was maybe one other table!
With so many choices in Houston, I am not so sure that I would rush back there."

"I had a reservation at noon at Mia Bella Pavilions, and when my party arrived at 11:55, the Mia Bella hostess seated us at Andalucia, the restaurant next door to Mia Bella. This is not the first time I have had a reservation at Mia Bella and have been seated at Andalucia, and even if you are given the opportunity to order from Mia Bella's menu, the dining experience is not the same. Andalucia is much more casual and noisier, and generally not as upscale. It was my friend's birthday, and she had specifically requested that we eat at Mia Bella. Despite our Open Table reservation, we were not able to do that, and I did not appreciate the fact that my reservation was not honored."

"I had read a number of reviews prior to dining at this restaurant. It was prior to a Rockets playoff game so we anticipated delays, and service challenges. Fortunately we made a 6:30 PM reservation and were seated immediately. Others without reservations were either turned away or told they could not expect seating before 8:30 PM. We almost had too much service. Our waiter was very attentive, polite and helpful with the menu. The offerings are plentiful. We had a nice bottle of wine and a very fair price. Overall the value for the portions of food and the wine cost were very reasonable. Overall, I would certainly recommend this to locals, as well as visitors to Houston not familiar with the downtown dinner scene."

"My husband and I were both very disappointed at the portion of wine that was served. At $9 per glass, we expected a decent pour. We like to have a glass of wine with our dinner especially when we go out will not return to Mia Bella as a result."

"I met a former co-worker for lunch. When my lunch arrived it was not what I ordered and when it finally came the salmon was not cooked enough. Then we ordered coffee and she brought the wrong coffee. The bread was good. And it's fairly loud, not "energenic" as Open Table describes it."

"Had a 6:15 reservation. Staff was setting up tables to see how many more they could cram into this small establishment before a busy night. Got stuck in a small tight corner.
Did not get served until 7:45. Needed to be at a concert at 8. Had to rush through our meal which was not good at all. There were other tables that were served after us and left before we even got our meal. The only thing good about this place was our great waitress."

"Went for dinner before concert at Toyota center. Had reservation, but was places in makeshift table in awkward spot. While the food was good, the service had a lot of trouble keeping up with the the volume of customers all trying to get in ahead of the show. Will go back as it is convenient to Toyota Center, but not for any other event."

"Going to a concert at House of Blues, so location was very convenient. Food was fine, service was horrible from the time we walked in the door. No maitre d' greeted us. The couple in front of use said someone would come by periodically to see if they were still there. Once we were seated, staff appeared distracted and totally disorganized. We ordered our food, but waiter failed to bring out the bread and oil. Finally another server asked if we had ordered, I said yes but we would like some bread and she brought it. Once we got our food, one person asked for some coffee. She never got it. We paid the second server and left."

"We had an amazing time celebrating my husband's birthday. The food was awesome and the service impeccable. The wine, music and romantic ambiance were a great complement to our meal. They were very accommodating when they didn't have the chocolate to dip for the strawberries. Instead, they offered a chocolate mousse cake. We will definitely return soon to try more tasty dishes."
