"Tucked into a strip mall, this hidden gem is well worth not only a visit, but becoming a regular. The food is outstanding, the service impeccable, and the ambiance divine. I highly recommend you leave room for one (or more) of server Robert's homemade pastry desserts — they're sublime."

"The "Grand Dame" will greet you herself and she stands behind every dish. The food was great, our waiter really knew the menu and we had a wonderful evening. Lastly, it's very reasonably priced. If I had to put a dent in this review, I'd say that the wine list is very so-so."

"My experience with Aimee's we'll say was "interesting". After reviewing the online menu and reading the reviews, it sounded like a great place to celebrate Mother's Day with my wife. Upon arriving however, we soon realized that they only had a fixed menu for that day, but was told that it was "a great deal". No price was listed on the menu I may add. Well, since it was too late to find another restaurant, we decided to try it. The food was mediocre, the service slow and the dessert was sub par. The final bill, with only a minimal tip, was an outrageous $250! Now, I don't mind paying for good food and an elegant atmosphere - such as you would find at Citrus (French) in LA, but never again at this place. Not worth the for the price."

"We've been to Aimee's several times before and every single time we have had a great experience. Food is excellent, the place is very cute and service is mostly great. Besides the food, what I love the most about this place is the "no rush" feeling, they take their time preparing your food, but they allow you plenty of time to hang out, never pushing you out the door like many other places who just want you out asap. We'll be back very soon!"

"Aimee's is one of our favorite dining establishments. Everyone is personally greeted by Aimee, who is a most delightful hostess. The wait staff is very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, and the food they bring is marvelous!
Whenever we have guests from out of town, we bring them to Aimee's, and they always have a great experience. Recently, my visiting sister and her husband wanted to dine at Aimee's two nights in a row!
Don't stop at the entree`, the desserts are a great way to end a great meal."

"Live in SF Valley, picked up an old friend at LAX, wanted something close to there. Found Aimee's on OpenTable. Wonderful, wonderful! Merveilleux! In a little strip mall on PCH. Beautiful interioir with an accordionist on Friday night. Met at the door by Aimee, as she does all of her guests. Charmante! Professional service, though kitchen was slow. Excellent menu and specials.Salads extremely fresh, beautifully presented. I had butter lettuce with walnuts, gorgonzola and a lemon vinaigrette. Entrees excellent between boeuf bourguinon, calves liver, filet with Roquefort, and a simple bistro steak. Very reasonable wine list.Souffle available tho we chose the apple tartin tart, with vanilla ice cream - all baked on premises. Superbe! Go. Vite!"

"This is our tenth or so visit to Aimee's and each has been a special occasion, anniversary, birthday, or for entertaining. We are always thrilled with the experience. Aimee is a charming host always bringing her special brand of French hospitality. It's great for groups or for a romantic interlude with someone special. And the accordion player brings a purely French note in a soft, unobtrusive way. Service is wonderful, formal and friendly. Aimee is true to her French heritage. Great sauces, elegantly prepared meats and fish, deserts to die for. And don't miss the soufflé!! Order it as soon as you arrive and be warned. It's NOT on the menu. There is a special place in our hearts for this rare find and it's owner. Bon appetite!."

"Great Food, Aimee herself greeted all the guests. The accordian player set a lovely atmosphere - you felt like you were in a Parisian bistro. Husband is a scallop person. He said that he's had excellent scallops only one other time in his life. Aimee's scallops in the Coquille St. Jacques were tops. Tender, tasty in a delicate manner. We also had the Bouillabaisse. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Dessert: the entire tray was tempting; we will be back for more. Went with one of the specials, the Souffle Grand Marnier, and we were not disappointed. Perfectly light with just enough touch of the GM. A lovely evening."

"We are so lucky to find a place like Aimee's. I searched for a special place to celebrate an early Easter with family and we were blessed. While the final bill was pricey, we also ordered 2 cocktails, a nice bottle of french wine, salad for each, entree and two desserts. All the entrees were spectacular; the crusted alaskan halibut being my favorite. If you can digest the main course and still have room for the souffle' it is well worth the extra calories."

"We love Aimee's. Incredible food and upscale dining for a reasonable price. French Martini was lovely. The filet mignon is one of their signature specials and it is always fantastic. Service was great. Celebrated our mom's 81st birthday and the service staff and Aimee herself-- made it extra special. Although its location is in a strip mall, don't let that fool you. Once inside, you never feel like it is less than perfect. Great French cuisine."

"Wanted to experience French cuisine and received an experience far beyond my expectations. First the location is deceptive in that from the street it does not look like the extremely fine establishment that it is. From the time my wife & I walked through the door, we were greeted by a gracious host and immediately seated. Our waiter was cordial & engaging, and very entertaining. He answered all our questions about the menu & told us about the specials. We stared with a duck pate appetizer, and each had an entree. To say the food was incredible is a mere understatement. From the presentation to the flavors, our breathe was taken away from the exquisite taste & quality of the food. It was an experience we look forward to reliving soon."

"We were greeted by Aimee personally, and shown to our table. We were two couples, my wife and I, and my daughter and her husband. We were served french bread with a spread that looked like a mixture of mustard and mayonnaise. The men ordered the Trout Almondine, while the women ordered salmon and what was called "butter fish." The trout did not have much flavor, but the salmon and butter fish were quite simply out of this world. We had their special souffle for dessert. An accordian player began to play wonderful old songs, and I asked him to play Lara's Theme from Dr. Zhivago. We were there for around three hours, and never felt pressured to leave. It was a wonderful time, and we look forward to returning to Aimee's for another dinner."

"Nice place with excellent customer service. The fresh fish was escolar, a fish I had eaten only once and that time it was the best fish I had ever had! On this occasion I also loved the fish as well as the entire meal. The poached pear salad was different and very tasty.
The place is not that big but was full, with some large groups making it a bit noisy, but I didn't mind as it was all in the festive spirit. I will be returning to Aimees."

"Special shout out to Aimee's and Aimee, as she was the one that took care of us. Food was great with many things from which to choose. Portions were large as compared to other upper end restaurants that we have been to in the past couple of weeks.

"Unfortunately, we once again found out why Valentine's day is a poor choice for dining out. There was a very big early seating, which led to delays, but we were ultimately seated in very close proximity to our neighbors, who were very nice. Choice was limited to a prix fixe menu, filet, fish or coq au vin. Appetizer and salad were fine, if uninspired. Our waiter strongly recommended the fish (escolar), which my wife said was OK, but mine was very dry and salty. It was replace graciously with the coq au vin, which was quite good, although took some time, as we were cautioned. Dessert, a chocolate medley, was superb. All in all, not up to their usual standards, but we probably won't soon make the mistake of going there on this holiday again."
