"I don't normally write reviews but this was worth it. We were meeting up with friends from out of town whom we had not seen a while. It was just the perfect spot and the perfect evening. Food and wine were fabulous and the pacing of the meal was beyond perfect. We never felt rushed and we also never felt as if we were waiting. The service was spot on. It was a lovely atmosphere and the noise level was not loud, perfect for conversation. I would highly recommend to anyone."

"Great dining spot- though we were off to a rocky start at the host stand when checking in. Somehow our reservation did not show up and the host staff wanted to "accomodate" us by placing our party of 4 next to the wait station. The service was adequate but not great. The company and the food made our night wonderful."

"Cocco Pazzo is another restaurant we always try to go to when in Chicago. The food is very good and offers seasonal specialties. I really like the atmosphere at the restaurant.

There is a gentleman, perhaps the owner who comes around to all the tables and speaks to the patrons. This is such a nice touch, something you don't see too often,"

"My fiance and I had a great time at Coco Pazzo. We made reservations and were seated very quickly. The staff was willing to let us try several wines without making us feel like we were a burden to them. The quail entree was probably one of the best entrees I'd ever had at a restaurant—and they used black truffle! They were a little bit slow at the tail end of our meal, getting us our check, but that was ok. It was still a great experience."

"Excellent food. The fish, sea bass, was really spectacular and unusually good. The antipasti appetizer was really good. The wine was exceptional. We had a Barolo wine which is hard to not like. Parking at the garage next door was $8. I'd recommend this to those looking for a good Italian accented restaurant. I thought the food was more Northern Italian style and not too much that. Really, the food is just simply good."

"We were in Chicago on Easter - first time away from home on a holiday in years. Found Coco Pazzo on Open Table and took a chance. What a wonderful and memorable experience. Great food and service, beautiful room that wasn't designed to amplify ambient sound the way many restaurants are these days so we were able to have a conversation without shouting. "Our group of four was seated quickly and service was both friendly and efficient for a pre-theater birthday dinner. The chicken liver mousse and asparagus tart we had as starters were very delicious. Dinners included gnocchi, lamb shank, monkfish and a pasta dish and all were enjoyed and shared. Desserts were nicely plated, tasty and interesting. For my birthday, the pastry chef wrote happy birthday in chocolate on my plate which was appreciated. Overall, a really nice meal and great service."

"This restaurant's menu options are both varied and of high quality. Service is professional but perhaps a bit on the indifferent and self-assuming side. The very American wait person was overly anxious to demonstrate his ability to rattle off the Italian language identities of entrees. A very inflexible and unreasonable corkage policy also lent to an assumption that the restaurant is uncomfortable with the culinary/wine selection knowledge/preferences of its dining patrons."

"The wait staff was superb; couldn't ask for anything more. We loved the ambiance. Upscale, but not pretentious. The food just didn't seem to be at the same level. It was good, just not great. If someone tells me the food prep was very good traditional or classic, then I stand corrected and just ignore my "3" food rating."
