"I had the lamb entree on the Mother's Day brunch menu. The lamb needed salt, and the side lacked salt and flavor. I did taste the hamburger which was pretty good. I would like to give Autre Monde another try."

"The grilled trout is the best new item on the menu! We do miss the pork chop/porterhouse that was on the menu. Everything is built for sharing, which allows you to try a lot of things! The cocktails are wonderful!
This is one of our favorite restaurants. We love it. The chairs are a little uncomfortable, but you kind of forget that once you start talking, drinking and eating. The service is great. The servers are friendly and helpful. The one thing that can get a little trying is that they can be a little eager to clear your plates. Sometimes you are still eating and want the sauce. Or you are savoring something and saving a couple bites for later. The place can get very noisy, but usually it is just lively."

"The food was fantastic, service was ok but could have been a little snappier. It was Friday evening during "prime time" dinner hours so I expected a little more speed. Our table was very close to the neighboring table. Some might say too close."

"We went for the set menu Spanish dinner on Sunday evenings which was on their web site, but they discontinued it. They were out of two of the entree choices that would have been first choices. But - they were very apologetic and explained that everything is made fresh, so on weekends they can often be out of some items. The food we ordered was excellent and service was very good."

"The food is always interesting with creative presentation. The family-style service makes it fun to share each item with everyone at the table. The wine list is not the standard fare and includes items not seen at every restaurant with comparable prince points.Our only complaint about Autre Monde is the noise level. We purposely go early so that we can leave before it becomes impossible to converse with the others at the table."

"Our experience was exception. Autre Monde had a very interesting wine list and an intriguing menu. Service was attentive but we never felt rushed on the Sunday night we were there. Each of the several small plates was perfectly cooked and served hot to the table--sadly, not something that we get in many other small plate I loved the flatbreads (we had two) and others in our party of five raved about the pork belly pintxos and the pulpo. We will be back even though we though it's a drive from the North Side. It was a memorable evening."

"It was my fiance and I's first visit to Autre Monde and we loved it. The atmosphere and decor was pleasant, warm and inviting. Our waitress was GREAT! I'm a vegetarian so she helped me pick out some delicious dishes. She was very knowledgeable of the menu. The food was UNIQUE and AMAZING. The Blood Orange Gimlet drink was so good I ordered a second one. For desert they had the best cannoli that I have ever tasted."

"We dined here on Saturday night for my Husband's birthday, everything was great ! Our server was very helpful with wine and dinner suggestions, which were all really good ! We enjoyed everything we tried. The Octopus was the best we ever had,from the flatbread to the large plates they were all delicious. My Serbian wine was also very good. When my daughter ordered lemonade, it was not on the menu, so they made it fresh at the bar. Thats customer service !

"This is a great place. Food is really good and a very nice tapas selection. We had delicious lamb meatballs, gnocchi, wild mushroom flatbread, pork belly to name a few. The service is excellent, waitress gave just the right amount of information about the dishes; and thankfully realized that she did not have to explain to us what tapas are...The restaurant has tables for two and four and for six there are two high tables, so be aware of that if you are six. We have been twice, once during spring break on a weeknight and so the noise was subdued; but have been there on a weekend night when it was very lively. They do have a patio which our waitress told us they are expanding."

The chefs have put together a menu that rivals the best restaurants anywhere, and at very reasonable price points. Service is efficient and friendly, and the accommodations are comfortable. "Autre Monde was recommended to us by friends and we're glad we followed their advice. The food was both different and delicious. The tables are quite close and the room gets noisy when full, but that didn't detract from a wonderful dining experience. We had the lamp pinxto, olives and marcona almonds before our larger plates of pork paillard (ernormous!) and duck sausage gnocchi. Everything was delicious. Although it didn't sound like much food when we ordered it, we were pleasantly stuffed by the end, although we did manage to find room to share a very tasty brown sugar cake with cherries and pistachios at the end. We will definitely go again."

"The food is brilliant and the service is spot on. The only complaint is that on weekends or any busy night, the noise can be deafening. By the end of the meal you're shouting at the person sitting across the table. So, go early, and don't forget to order the rapini with white beans."

"This has been my third time to Autre Monde; I brought a friend who had never been there and she loved it! We went on a Wine Tasting Wednesday and were served three interesting and unusual wines from Italy, poured by the wine expert who gave us a lovely, personal presentation about each one.
The food is eclectic, beautifully prepared, and delicious. As much of it is served as small plates, I highly recommend going in groups of 4 or more so that more of the menu can be tasted.
Located on Roosevelt Rd. and Oak Park Ave. in Berwyn, this place truly is a neighborhood gem! Their back patio (will be) quirky and great, so if you go in the warmer weather, try to be seated outside if you like."

"I didn't click kid-friendly but we brought 2 kids, 9 and 11, and they enjoyed it. There is enough variety on the menu and since they encourage family-style dining, is was easy for them to try everything to find what they liked. Also we were there early-i'su on a Wednesday so it's a more kid-friendly time. The food was excellent and can rival any city hot spot, and the service was attentive and friendly from hostess to chef. We will be back!"

"Autre Monde is what the near west suburbs have been missing forever. Many have tried, but no resturaunt has succeeded in providing this quality of food and drink in this area. The waitress was also one of the bartenders and was able to provide wine and drink recommendations that worked well with the food we ordered."
