"The food was amazing and the service was outstanding! Our server Eric was first class! I also spoke to Eric about one of the "food runners" who I was told may be promoted to a server soon. He too was helpful and friendly! We love Oggi and always recommend!"

"This is our second time to Oggi and it was very good once again. Busier than last time so the service was a little slow but the food was once again pretty good. I had the Lasagna and my wife had ravioli. For a local place, close to our house, it is a great find."

"We had a very enjoyable meal at Oggi. We made a reservation for 7:30 on a Friday and decided to go early just in case there was a crowd as we had read in some of the reviews. No crowd, in fact the restaurant was only about 1/3 full. Anyway, quickly seated and immediately waited on. The waitress was great the entire evening; good meal suggestions and always checking in on us. My fruita de mare was very good with homemade black linguini. My wife reported that her penne pasta dish was good but not that impressive. They had a fairly extensive menu and good wine list.
They had a large wait staff and it appeared that they had put up some drop ceiling panels to help with the noise issue.
We will definitely be back."

"Amazing food, really good service. Not sure what is going on with reservation taking there but that is the only downfall. When you make a RSVP here , you will still wait. Very small place but wonderful food."

"Th quality and variety of the food is outstanding. The location is convenient, although with the increasing number of people "discovering" the restaurant, seating can be hard to come by. The restaurant is not large. There is no formal bar, but they do have a very good wine list."

"We came for a 7:00pm reservation at 6:50pm.........waited to 7:35pm........ several people with reservations left........ they had a table for (11) that sat empty from 6:30 to 7:45.....no attempt to communicate that reservations were not being honored....no attempt to make the wait more pleasant.....noise level was intolerable........ very slooooooww service......food however was very good."

"We have now eaten here 5 times and brought different friends with us each time. Everyone just loved the food, the owner Eloy and have gone back a number of times since then. We also recommended OGGI to one of my wifes employers and he went there with a very large party - nothing but rave reviews."

"We expected a little more ambiance for the price. The waiter needed more training. We had to grab him several times as he passed to ask for things. We asked for take-out boxes twice, we asked for separate checks and did not get them. He separated them on the charge but charged the other couple with one of our glasses of wine. He "dumped" our food into the take-out boxes (it was most unappetizing) and poured the sauce for the calamari into the box making them too soggy to reheat. He never asked if we wanted dessert but the restaurant was so noisy we couldn't carry on a conversation so we had after dinner drinks and dessert somewhere else. The food was good and we may give them another chance in the future."

If only there had been heavy curtains to block out the St. Patrick's festival next door (not likely to be a frequent issue). Our waiter encouraged us to try items that we wouldn't expect to enjoy at a typical Italian restaurant, and my skirt steak was a very pleasant surprise. We'll be back!"

"This restaurant is so so good!!! Nothing will disappoint--from start to finish. The appetizers are amazing. Love the risotto croquettes and the ceaser salad... but have also sampled the others and they are so tasty too! Homemade pasta-- who can go wrong? We had a larger party and everyone loved their meals from the salmon to the Veal to the lasagna and ravioli. Very unique dishes too-- like the shrimp parmigiana. The tiramisu is the best I have ever had!! Enjoyed the wine too :) This is a great addition to the area!"

"Oggi was very crowded the night we went. They are relatively new in town, so we expected it to be busy. There is no bar, so the overflow of people tend to wait in the small entryway. Food was good but not great. We appreciated that the pasta was homemade (except for the penne) and enjoyed our meal but, overall, we've dined at better. This is good, solid Italian. Nothing too fancy."

"Oggi is a great little Italian restaurant! We've been there twice now and have thoroughly enjoyed our experiences. We've had both specials and regular menu items and they've all been excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the owner (Eloy) is in the kitchen making sure the food is exactly how it should be.....fresh, hot and delicious! I highly recommend you try this great South Charlotte restaurant."

"This was the 5th time at Oggi's. Obviously we enjoy it. Wait staff is attentive and efficient. Pastas are made fresh everyday therefore one can tell the difference in the quality of food. Wine by the glass choices could be better. Noise level is more than energetic. Would really love their doing something about noise absorption. Hard to converse with others at the table when others start coming in around 6:30 on."

"Hate to rain on anyone's parade here but the food at best is just average. Called ahead to reserve table for anniversary party - then emailed to see if we could bring in our own wine. They responded that we could bring in outside wine for $15 corkage fee which is a little high but we had a special bottle for the occasion so agreed. We were seated promptly but as soon as the restaurant began to fill up, it was apparent the there were just too many tables in the space. Felt cramped and little privacy for our conversation. Split a house salad which was not crisp and fresh. Lettuce had begun to soften. Appetizer of calamari and zucchini was very. Ordered 2 specials and lasagna. Disappointed with lasagna - absolutely no flavor, dull ma"

"We were regulars at the Miami Beach location and were happy to see this restaurant pop up near our new home in Charlotte. The food is amazing. Very unpretentious atmosphere buried well into the suberbs. If you live nearby, this should be your #1 Italian dinner options. I would expand the wine list a bit with some more Villa Antinori products but otherwise, great experience. Our server was a bit green but the restaurant was so new that it was to be expected."

"Very disappointed with this restaurant. Food was extremely overpriced for a strip mall and the quality of the food,even the basic chicken dishes were over $20. To boot, the food was unremarkable and they seem to have trouble with seasonings. The marinara sauce had way too much garlic in it and the fettucine carbonara had too much nutmeg. On the other hand, the bolognese sauce was watery and the crab ravioli - which is apparently a specialty, had very little flavor.
There is no bar and their selection of beer and wine is very limited. I get that maybe they don't have their license yet, but wait to open. If people are going to spend that kind of money on a meal, they expect to have their choice of cocktails available."

"We were more impressed than we anticipated. My fettucini and clams was outstanding. The entres were well presented. White wine sauce on clams and fettucini was excellent as was the sauce on the flounder limone. Best pasta I've had in a long time. Service was very efficient. Our waiter was very attentive made the circuit throughout the evening eyeballing the tables without hovering or interrupting. The restaurant is small, clean, fresh. Wine by the glass is a little short on choices but ok. As crowd grows the noise level may make it a little difficult for intimate conversation. Its definitely on our repeat list."
