"Wait staff seemed overwhelmed even though the restaurant was only half full. We went on Mother's Day and I would have thought that they would be prepared for a busier than normal Sunday afternoon. As I say, even though the restaurant was only half full there appeared to be only 1 waiter who doubled as the bartender. Service was very slow"

"FOOD: Nice presentation and decent portions. The taste was fine, though my fish was a tad overcooked. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Could be a fun place in the warmer weather with the fireplace outback."

"Visited on a Friday evening when there was a piano player so the ambiance was very nice. Also sat next to the fireplace that warmed us on a cool night. I ordered the Ahi tuna burger very rare and it came well done. I was disappointed that the tuna was dry. We were going to a concert and did not have time to send it back. The tuna came with fries, tomato, lettuce and pickle. Boring.! 2 at my table ordered hamburgers that were fine. They also came with the same sides. My husband ordered squash ravioli that tasted amazing but at $26 was a bit costly for pasta. That came with several garlic croutons. Overall the food was good but I felt there could have been a bit more imagination in presentation."

"The food was positively wonderful. My wife and I shared our respective appetizers, mains and desserts, which was the best way to experience two of everything. We would do that again, and we look forward to going back to try lunch and brunch and outdoor seating."

"Food was very good but the service was terrible. Our waiter appologized a couple of times but that didn't make up for it! The worst part was that the food was not hot....we sent back both dishes, but they came back only warmer....still not hot. My wife hardly ate her 'warm' steak. Upon seeing that, the waiter said he would take it off the bill, but he did not! We also ordered a bottle of wine. He filled our glasses once. In any good restaurant the waiter should refill the glasses, not the customer, as was the case.
I'd stay at the hotel again but find somewhere else to eat!"

"The restaurant is quite nice, it was both fun and intimate at the same time. Our food was amazing. I had the Scallops which were perfect and my wife had the Filet Mignon which was cooking just right. Apps and dessert didn't disappoint either...calamari with 3 sauces to start and finished with homemade bread pudding, which we both loved. Service was great too...quick and efficient. We will definitely be back!"

"Bistro 72 was a pleasant surprise as it is located in the Hotel Indigo in Riverhead, NY - hardly a location well-known for its culinary offerings. The location is immediately adjacent to the Tanger Shopping Outlets from which I suspect they draw most of their business. The Seared Scallops were near-perfect, served with "tri-color" potatoes and crisp veggies and the Filet Mignon, ordered rare and served with local arugula, was cooked to perfection. The very attentive service was friendly and unrushed. As the Bistro has a nice bar and adjacent tables for bar food, I would recommend requesting a table for a quiet dinner further to the west of the entrance. I will certainly be back in the near future to sample more of the menu."

"This place looks so romantic and cozy. I went to for Valentine's day with my lady and it was a lovely experience. The service was aright, seemed like a new employee, but that was alright, we were in no rush. The menus were perfect but the prefix menu only had steak on it, which I found surprising. I had myself the cioppino which was amazing, it filled me up perfectly. It was cooked perfectly and we enjoyed our night ending with some live music at the bar."

"Great atmosphere and energy. Food selection was good, but limited which is fine for one or two visits. But I hope the menu changes with the seasons."
