"I never fill out these dumb reviews, but Dinosaur BBQ is the best BBQ restaurant I've ever been to, so I felt the need to speak my mind. "A great, fun classic bar bq joint. We reluctantly went for fathers day and were pleasantly surprised that Dad wasn't the only happy diner. You could go in shorts, that's how casual this place is but the staff is nice and the food is delicious. But be warned: it's noisy and there's little or no "alternative" food; no entree salads or healthy fish here. Desserts are the only weak spot but you'll be stuffed anyway."

"the ribs are perfectly done and they are sauced and seasoned with just the right amount of kick. You can add more hot sauce as you wish. Our waitress was attentive and gave us a heads up that the kitchen had fallen behind and there would be a short wait. The wait was worth it. We will be back again and again."

"Took a Texas friend to this lively restaurant for a quick dinner. The atmosphere is fun and right out of a road house movie.
The bar was crowded and the drinks were good. Even though we had reservations, we had to wait about 15 extra minutes for our table to be ready; the place was packed with a fine mix of young and old, families and those with a date.
Our waitress was wonderful, pleasing and fun to chat with. The food arrived quickly and correctly. The hot chicken wing sampler the best part of the meal. My companion and I ordered the pork ribs and brisket sandwich. Both tasted tasted great. Not saying it was the best BBQ I have ever eaten, but I wold definitely go back for more. I do recommend."

"Much better this time around from the 1st. I gave it only 2 stars before based on the terrible service I had, but my kids love the ribs here so for Father Day we came back again and it was like 180 degree turn around."

"This is a fun place to enjoy with family or friends. It's big, loud and fun. The food is good too. They have combinations of meats so you don't have to pick just one! I had pulled pork, pork ribs and brisket. The brisket out shined the other two, but all were good. We will return!"

"We had a great time the bartender was great and the drink plentiful. The food was great the ribs were better than the chicken. The chicken should be crispier with more sauce. The Fried green tomatoes were excellent and the cornbread perfect. The only thing I did not like were the blue plastic plates, they are not attractive for serving food on. The service was good but I had take out and she forgot the sides and called when I got home and they were excellent and said they would credit my credit card. We will be back. Best BBQ in CT!"

"We have eaten at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que - Stamford a couple of times and it is always good. Trying to eat there without OpenTable is not ideal as you will wait a long time. The food is good and we would recommend this establishment to others. While eating there the manager came by and asked if everythign was good and if we needed anything. The only suggestion I would give it ot have a wider selection of "healthy" side dishes, like grilled vegetables, etc."

"While the restaurant is very noisy, the food was delicious and the service was attentive. Fried Green Tomatoes were yummy as an appetizer. We ordered the "Family Stylin' BBQ" - some of everything! It was a good deal considering how much food there was. There was more than enough food for 4 adults, plus a generous amount leftover to take home. The band started around 9:00 pm, and then it was almost impossible to have a conversation across the table, but the music was good. We will definitely go back again, a little earlier next time."

"I enjoyed the restaurant, and the food /service were good. But the chairs are extremely uncomfortable, with horizontal wooden slats that force you to shift often and eventually stand. If you plan to sit with a group and chat, bring a cushion. I hope the management considers more comfortable seats, as dinner or lunch are sit-down events, so the appeal to the backside should be the priority."

"15 min. & I had to stop a passing waiter to get a drink at our table. Hostess sat us down and no one came. The saga continues throughout the entire evening !!! Ribs were outstanding, really would of enjoyed our meal if we didn't spend half the time looking or trying to make eye contact with anyone to get a drink or anything else for that matter."

"We ate at Dinosaur for the first time on Saturday and were very happy they honored Open Table reservations as there was a long wait otherwise. Even though it was 8PM, the place was full of families with young children, although most were well behaved. After having a drink, we placed our order. The waitress came back after quite a while and said their computer system had broken down and it would take some time. It would have been nice if they had offered some rolls or cornbread as we were starving. Eventually, the food came out and it was really good. The ribs were perfecd, as was the smoked brisket. We also got to share four side orders, of which the mac and cheese was the best."

"We really enjoyed our dinner at dinosaur BBQ except my 8 year old's Mac and cheese which is on the kids menu. He originally ordered it as his main meal. Our server, Jessica, who was great, told us that it was very spicy and maybe he should have it as a side instead. He had grilled cheese with a side of mac and cheese. We were very happy she told us that because it was indeed very spicy. Clearly made with hot sauce or something. It was spicy enough that my husband who likes spicy said it was strong. Our little guy really couldn't eat it . Jessica was nice enough to bring him a salad when she saw he wasn't eating it. We are thankful to Jessica who saved the meal because when the kids aren't happy dinning out can be a challenge."

"Loved it! The service was great! Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable of the food menu and the beer menu. They have a large selection of beers and specialty cocktails. A manager stopped by our table to ask about our experience twice. We were 4 adults and 6 kids. We ordered the ribs off of the adult menu for the kids. They ate everything. Between the adults we ordered 2 different pulled pork sandwiches, bbq chicken, beef brisket, ribs and chicken wings. The ribs and the pulled pork were the favorites followed by the chicken. There is a large selection of sides to go with each meal. The other couple at our table had ordered take out at an earlier date and also had a great experience with that. Will definitely go back!"

"Ladies at the door are WONDERFUL!! I just had spine surgery & was put in a booth, we were 2 people for dinner, booth fits 4. (VERY KIND!!) Arrived early 5p place was jamming. Staff very positive & informative about food & sauces from servers to waitress. Ordered sampler of Shrimp, wings, deviled eggs & fried green tomato's what a good idea I would've overlooked fried green tomatos on menu BUT WILL ORDER THEM NOW! Talked into getting 6 ribs by my Mom, my gut said get 3 ribs, but the take home was a treat! My side choices were baked beans & mashed potatos with gravy - VERY good & plenty of food for LOW prices! THE only bad coffee was bitter but easy fix, Didnt have room for dessert but awesome. Overall fantastic time - THANK YOU"

"After living for years in TX I have long been searching for great BBQ in lower Fairfield county. I've tried quite a few spots that were good but never good enough to make me want to go back ... Until now. My nephew in Syracuse had been raving about this place called dinosaur BBQ so when I heard they were opening up in Stamford, I knew I had to try it. I went with a group of 8 and we all loved our dinner. The ribs, brisket and chicken didn't disappoint. Neither did the desserts. We are all planning on returning soon!"

"I was expecting something more authentic, the restaurant was like a run of the mill steakhouse. One of our orders was a chicken sandwich with just lettuce and tomato, it arrived with cheese and mayo - no apology from waiter. The ribs were nothing special and the mashed potatoes tasted like they were made from a powder mix."

"We were there on a friday night. Arrived an hour early for our 8:30 reservation. Were told we coukd probaby get seated earlier. Told hostess we would be at The bar. Had a few drinks and noticed some empty tables. Checked on our reservation and got seated right away (pn the bar side, which by now was very busy and loud). Waiter (Danny) Extremly friendly and helpful in his suggestions fir first time patrons. Food was plentiful and delicious. Then the music started.
Had to leave in order to hear each other talk.
Probably a good place for families earlier on the evening and for the younger crowd later."

"Heard about Dinosaur BBQ so had to give it a try. I am pleased! Started off with the peel your own shrimp boil, and mixed up 3 different BBQ meats with sides. Everything was excellent and I will be back. Was with 3 others and everyone was very pleased with their meal."

"Food is very good-predictably delicilous. Hard to do anything in life right twice--let alone cook it right twice--these folks do it right every night. I have been to both the Harlem establishment and this newest addition to the chain. The staff is very pleasant and exceptionally well trained in both establishments. Facilities are clean:).

"Me and my boyfriend were looking for a low key, fun date night. We found this place and we had the best time! Our waitress was awesome, so friendly and energetic, the place was hopping! The energy from the love band was great and overall made you excited for what you were about to eat. We decided to order two flights of beer and have ourselves a tasting, it made for great conversation while we waited for our food which was the perfect amount of food. We were so full, but our dishes were cleaned. We are absolutely coming back, with all our friends!"
