Even our sunsets are made fresh daily.
"This is a great restaurant but, to be honest, it was just a bit too loud. Arriving at 9:00 p.m., you would have thought perhaps some of the noise would have been gone, but it was pretty hard to relax. However, it was the night before Father's Day. Perhaps many dads were being treated to dinner and enjoying special times with families, even though we saw no children.
We have now dined at Oystercatchers three times and will return."

"We went here because of the great view and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was elegant and the view was beautiful. The service was very good. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. The home made bread was delicious with the smoked salt sprinkled over top. We shared the calamari appetizer and it was crisp, fresh and enjoyed by all 3 of us. I had the crab and corn soup. It was a huge bowl so I enjoyed it there and at home the next day. My husband had the strawberry salad and loved it. I had the scallops and they were huge and delicious. What a memorable way to grow old gracefully!! I would certainly consider this lovely restaurant for future special occasions and romantic dinners and highly recommend it to others."

"I booked the reservation through Open Table for a special occasion a few weeks earlier with a note regarding my partners 50th birthday. It had been a long time since I had been to Oystercatchers, maybe 10 years. I travel for work and have seen many "Sunday brunches" around the world. From the mimosas to the Lobster Eggs Benedict, I knew this place was special and different. The high quality of food available was outstanding. Piles of smoked salmon, fresh Gulf shrimp cocktail"

"Best described in another review I read Tourist prices for food and wine, pretty good food and fair service. Far better places at better prices like Mystic Fish, E@E and Guppy's they're only $$ and have as good or I'd say better food and outstanding service."

"The service was excellent when the waiter was there. Maybe he was real busy. Either the kitchen was overwhelmed or understaffed as it took awhile to get our food."

"In my reservation I mentioned that this was our wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived until we drove off everyone we came in contact with were highly welcoming and performed their duties flawlessly. As has been my historic experience the food is just wonderful. I love the corn - crab chowder [a house staple] and it's as yummy today as it was in the early 90's when I first started coming to Oystercatchers. I can say without a doubt that in my 20+ years of coming here I've never been disappointed with any aspect of the experience. Oystercatchers is definitely a special place for both business and especially personal dining experiences."

"We have been here before, and loved it. We love the calamari fries appetizer. I don't even like calamari, and I love those. My husbands salmon was dry as dust and his half-lobster tail was rubbery and extremely salty. My (paella) sausage disks were like hockey pucks. The manager (?) was apologetic and immediately had replacement food brought out, but the salmon, while correctly cooked, was also over salted. He also offered us free dessert. When we brought the, again, overly salty food to our servers attention, she was very nice and proferred a gift card for a future visit. We both accepted a slice of key lime pie for dessert, and it was as good as we remembered. I would likely come back to see if this night was a one off for the kitchen."

"After having the pleasure of enjoying several of the finest brunches in the southeast, I can honestly say nothing comes close to matching Oystercatchers. The selection of delicious foods, quality of fresh seafood and their amazing made from scratch dessert room (yes, you read that right - an entire room of desserts) makes this the most decadent brunch I've ever enjoyed. Don't skip the Mango John Daly's at the bar. Included in the price of brunch and refreshing alternative to mimosas and blood mary's."

"It's a little pricey, but totally worth it. Food is delicious, awesome service, and the view can't be beat! One of the best brunch spots I've tried. Brunch included unlimited mimosas, so the $50 pp cost is all inclusive"

"Though, our reservation was not found, they made up for it will an excellent view, terrific staff and a suburb meal. Everything about our visits was excellent from Vallet staff to our waitress. We felt so comfortable and relaxed, we were the last couple to leave at 11:15pm that night.
Would definitely recommend to anyone seeking great food and service. It is a hidden gem and will visit again."

"This is a perfect water view location with an amazing fresh fish menu. All their fish choices are fresh daily and can be cooked 3 different ways with 4 side sauce choices. We had the wood-grilled snapper and wood-grilled grouper both with the key lime caper butter sauce....YUM! It was incredible. I'm ready to go back! The strawberry goat cheese salad was also wonderful. Everything here is basically "tourist" priced because the restaurant is connected to the Grand Hyatt, but it was worth it. I would highly recommend for fish lovers."

"The view was amazing! We enjoyed the sunset and couldn't have asked for a better table! Unfortunately our service was not the best. It took over 15 minutes to take our drink order after we sat down and the service continued like that. The food was ok, but not for $. I did enjoy the atmosphere, but will think twice before going there again."

"I had heard OC has excellent seafood. We were disappointed. My wife's Salmon was overcooked (dry). My scallops were almost raw. I had to send them back. The specialty drinks were excellent. The food does not meet the costs for their food."

"I stayed at the Grand Hyatt & had both lunch & dinner here of the course of the stay. Lunch with Melinda at the bar is always a joy. Lunch consisted of the crab cakes with mustard greens and onion jam. These were some of the best crab cakes I've ever had! I also got a complimentary serving of salman carpaccio (probably because I lingered there for so long!) Which was delicious, fresh and perfect for a light lunch.Dinner consisted of the tempura fried lobster tail for an appetizer, Main dish was the filet mignon and blacked scallops witha key lime butter sauce. The steak was oak grilled and so flavoful, perfectly done, and the scallops were as well. Dessert was an expresso martini Kudos to Melanie & Mike for providing outstanding service."

"Dinner out on the deck was a pleasure. Food was well prepared and delicious with good sides and service was attentive, except dessert was disappointing. The crem brûlée was thick as paste and the key lime pie wasn't very tart."
