This authentic Italian restaurant is a secret in the heart of New York! Great food for a small price, Carbone Ristorante Italiano offers unique, delicious specials every day. We have the best attentive staff, outstanding food in a cozy, romantic environment that reminds you of the streets of Rome. The pizza is fantastic, but our pasta is even better!! Adelina, our chef from Naples, prepares a homemade ravioli each morning. Each course is delicately prepared to perfection. We have delicious wines from different Italian Regions and a fully stoked bar. End your night of with a nice shot of Limoncello, the original Southern Italian after-dinner liquor. So remember Carbone Ristorante Italiano for your Birthday, Anniversary, or just on a night out with family or friends! Truly the best value in Hell's Kitchen.
"Very relaxed feel to this place, very friendly wait staff and hostess. Array of menu selections and specials but beware everything is a la carte.Ordered a whole lobster and pasta special, of which was very generous in portion size and reasonable priced, I would rate the overallmeal and experience on a 5 on a scale of 1-10. Very nice however no need for return visit."

"Very urban setting serving innovative Italian food. The ravioli selection is outstanding and seasonally appropriate. Execution of food is spot on. Very reasonable. Wine list is limited, but has a few gems."

"Visited Carbone after reading some very impressive reviews. We concurred, as the restaurant is a small rustic type environment, informal and inviting with a nice variety of specials, as well as regular menu fare. Our waitress was terrific and helpful with suggestions, including the tasting of various wines before ordering. Their pasta's were great (I had Fettucine with portobellos and tomato), as were the fish and chicken dishes. Service was particularly timely as we visited pre-concert and had plenty of time to get to our venue. Highly recommended as a reasonably priced, and delicious alternative to some much fancier restaurants in the area."

"Perfectly fine place to grab a bite near Joyce Theater's DANY Studios. Food is basic Roman -- simple but hearty. Service is upbeat but not a lot of servers so be sure to get your orders in quickly. Wine list is unnecessarily pricey for table wine ($37 for an $8 chianti, for example). But a decent place overall."

"Cozy and warm ambiance, delicious food and attentive, cheerful service all for a very reasonable price; what more could you ask for. Oh, and they know how to make a drink! I had the pizza and it was superb. Highly recommend this hidden gem."

"The food was great, even though this is a tiny restaurant. They serve a complimentary Limoncello at the end of the meal, which is a lovely touch. The Chicken Parm (which is not on the menu) was one of the best ever. I'd go again in a heartbeat."

"Hard to fine a good place in this neighborhood, but thought we had found it. Wrong! Service was so slow and they were not serving things that were on the menu, finally had to leave before dinner even arrived. One saving grace, is that they didn't try to charge us for the unserved / uneaten entrees. Don't even get me started on the "fake" salad."

"Our party of four enjoyed our salad and soup appetizers. Three of us then ordered lasagna which was good, but the fourth ordered a steak which he said was extremely fatty and not very flavorful. The wait staff was friendly, but not all that attentive. We probably won't go back here."

"I recently ate dinner with three girlfriends while we were visiting NYC. We had come in from all over the country and were having a good time re-connecting. The staff at Carbones was respectful and let us linger at our table without pressing us to pay our bill. We were able to sit and chat and we were even treated to complimentary limoncello.
Food was great too!"

"Went there on a Saturday after the Jacob Javitz motorcycle show with a group of 7 people. The place is very small and intimate but the food is fresh and tasty. No complaints. My daughter wanted chicken parmigana which was not on the menu and they made it for her, very fresh and tasty. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meal. Now, I know where to go and eat when I go to Jacob Javitz."
